Barcelona ESPN correspondent Moises Lorens has reported on social media that Lionel Messi has traveled to the semi-finals of the Blaugrana Spanish Super Cup with a bandage on his left leg.
According to a previous report from ESPN, Messi is still struggling with the same injury that sent him off in the 65th minute of the Granada win. The superstar was holding onto his left Achilles tendon at the time.
With a bandage on the all-time great’s left leg, it is clear that there is a problem there that has prevented the 33-year-old from playing against Real tonight Sociedad, but the club has yet to state what type of injury it is – whether it is actually the Achilles tendon or some other area on the left leg.
The bandage over the ace’s knee can be used to get away assume that Messi has a problem with one of the muscles in the upper part of his leg.

With Messi on the bench, Ronald Koeman has a three-point against Antoine Griezmann, Ousmane Dembele and Martin Braithwaite.
Real Madrid face Athletic Bilbao in the semifinals on the other side of the recently reformatted competition.
If possible, Barcelona and Koeman should hope that Messi doesn’t have to be risked tonight to ensure the Argentine doesn’t worsen injury problems and miss future games.
